PM How to Configure a PIN Pad

Overview

• Currently, only the Verifone 1000SE is supported by Stone Edge .
• Refer to the manufacturer's documentation to obtain the values to enter in the system parameters for the device.

Procedure

1. Connect the device to a free USB port on the workstation.
2. At the Main Menu, select System Parameters.

3. Select Computer Based Parameters.

4. Select the current workstation from the Parameter Scope list, if more than one workstation is listed.

5. Select PIN Device from Parameter Group.

6. For each of the parameters whose manufacturer's value is different from the default setting in the Payment Module parameter, click Scoped and enter the correct setting in Value.

7. For parameter PINPadComPort, go to the Windows Control Panel > Device Manager > Ports and identify the port number the operating system assigned to the device.

8. Click Scoped and enter that number in Value.

9. When finished settings all of the parameters, click Save.
