Example
Let's say I bought a new USB Magtek MiniMag magnetic stripe reader. I currently use a card reader that uses keyboard emulation on all workstations. I want to swap the old device out in favor of the new device on just one of my workstations. I'll use Computer Based Parameters to do this.
- Sign in with an Administrator User ID.
- Main Menu > Parameters.
- Select Computer Based Parameters.
- Select a workstation from Parameter Scope.
- Select Card Reader from Parameter Group.
-
Select CCReaderModel from Name in Parameters.
-
Check Scoped.
-
Choose Magtek - MiniMag from Value drop-down.
-
Review the settings of the other card reader parameters as well and make any necessary changes.
-
Click Save.
