Re-import Archived Orders

Over time your data file grows as you import more orders and customers. The Archive Old Data function moves orders placed prior to a given date to a separate data file created in your c:\StoneEdge or other default directory. Customers who have not placed an order prior to a given date are moved also. (See Archive Old Data for details.)

The Re-Import Archived Orders function enables you to retrieve archived orders in addition to the following related information:

• Order details (line items)

• Transactions

• Returns

• RMAs

• Drop-ship orders

• Notes electronic records, for internal use only, that contain additional details about program events, actions or customer information that are stored with order, customer, inventory and supplier records. Notes can be entered manually by the user or automatically entered by the program, based on parameter settings in some cases.

Re-Import Archived Orders

1. Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Maintenance tab>Re-Import Archived Orders. The following message box opens:

2. Click OK.

3. Browse to select to mouse "left-click" on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Order Manager documentation the archive data file from which you want to import the archived order(s).

4. To re-import a single order, enter the Order Manager order number. Note: Do NOT enter the Web order number.

5. To re-import a group of orders, enter a range of Order Manager order numbers separated by a dash, e.g. 1000-1100.

Note: If a large range of orders are going to be re-imported into the production data file, be advised that this process may take quite a long time to complete. It would be best to start this process off-hours when the program will not be needed.
