Troubleshooting Integration with Semplice and Amazon Seller Central

Amazon Seller Central merchants who use Amazon's XML interface must use the program called "Semplice", from a company called WrinkleBrain, to communicate with the Order Manager.

Following are some steps you can take if you are not able to import orders new orders from Semplice or the Order Manager is not sending data back to Semplice:

  1. Verify that Semplice is running and that the icon is visible in the system tray of the machine on which Semplice was installed. If not, go to the Start Menu> All Programs> Semplice> Semplice Dashboard.

  2. Verify that your Storefront is started. Double-click on the Semplice icon located in the system tray. This will load the Storefront Manager. Verify that the your Storefront(s) have either a Process or Sleeping Processing Status. If they do not right-click on the Storefront and choose Start Storefront.

    1. If the Processing Status immediately changes to Stopped, there is a good chance there is an issue with the User ID and Password entered in the Storefront Configuration. Right-click on your Storefront and choose Change Storefront Settings. Re-key both your User ID and Password*. Click OK to close out of the Storefront Settings window, right-click on your Storefront, and choose Start Storefront.

*Note: the User ID and Password are your Admin login email address and password for Amazon Seller Central.

  1. If you receive a Runtime Error 52 "Bad File Name or Number", Runtime Error 70 "Permission Denied", or a message stating "Amazon order files not found at the following path: \\", verify that you correctly configured your Sharing and Security Settings on the ToAmazon and FromAmazon folders (refer to the Semplice instructions in the article, Setting Up An Amazon Seller Central Cart for more information).

  2. If you are a new Semplice user, make sure that Amazon has changed your Order Reports to be an XML feed rather than a Text file feed.
