Setup Guide Email

Overview

• This topic discusses the Email section of the SEOM Setup Guide that runs when the program is initially installed or when a new store file the database used by Monsoon OMS that contains all order, customer, inventory and supplier records related to a given "store". is created.

• Click the section tabs or use Next and Previous to move backward or forward through the process.

Email Screen

Select a method for sending e-mail: List

• the choices are Order Manager, Default Email System, or Microsoft Outlook
•  read the Notes electronic records, for internal use only, that contain additional details about program events, actions or customer information that are stored with order, customer, inventory and supplier records. Notes can be entered manually by the user or automatically entered by the program, based on parameter settings in some cases. to determine which method is best for your environment

From Address Field

• this is a required field
• enter the email address of the sender

From Name Field

• this is a required field
• enter the name of the sender

BCC Name Field

• this is an optional field
• enter an email address to receive a blind carbon copy of each email that is sent by SEOM

Email Signature

• this is an optional field
• enter signature information in the text box or click the Use My Company Info link to populate the field with the same information added on the Company tab

Server Field

• this is a required field
• enter the name of the email server the program uses to send email, for example, smpt.comcast.net or mailhost.myserver.com

Server Port Field

• this is a required field
• enter the port number of the email server

User Name Field

• if the email server requires a user name for authentication, enter it here

Password Field

• if the email server requires a user name for authentication, enter its password in this field

Use encrypted connection (SSL) Check Box

• this is an optional field
• select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation this box to use Secure Socket Layer protocol when sending email

Test Button

• verify the accuracy of the email settings entered on this page by sending a test email to the address in the From Address field
