Card Reader Parameter Group

The Order Manager includes hundreds of System Parameters that can be used to tailor the program to a merchant's way of doing business. To change a system parameter, go to the Maintenance Menu and double-click "Set System Parameters" from the list of links, or select System Parameters from the Quick Clicks on the Main Menu. For instructions, review the Knowledge Base page, Set System Parameters.

For ease of use, the system parameters are divided into "Parameter Groups" with related functions. This article describes the parameters that are part of the Card Reader parameter group.

If CCReaderConnectionType is set to Serial Port, select the baud rate used by the device

CCReaderComPort

If CCReaderConnectionType is set to Serial Port, set the Comm Port Number used by the device
CCReaderConnectionType

Select the connection type used for the magnetic stripe reader
CCReaderDataBits

If CCReaderConnectionType is set to Serial Port, select the data bits setting used by the device
CCReaderFlowControl

If CCReaderConnectionType is set to Serial Port, select the flow control setting used by the device
CCReaderModel

Select the manufacturer of the magnetic stripe reader
CCReaderParity

If CCReaderConnectionType is set to Serial Port, select the parity setting used by the device
CCReaderPrefixTrack1

Enter the string that will precede the data read from the credit card swipe terminal on Track 1.
CCReaderPrefixTrack2

Enter the string that will precede the data read from the credit card swipe terminal on Track 2
CCReaderPrefixTrack3

Enter the string that will precede the data read from the credit card swipe terminal on Track 3
CCReaderStopBits

If CCReaderConnectionType is set to Serial Port, select the number of stop bits used by the device

Enter the string that will follow the data read from the credit card swipe terminal on Track 1
CCReaderSuffixTrack2

Enter the string that will follow the data read from the credit card swipe terminal on Track 2

Enter the string that will follow the data read from the credit card swipe terminal on Track 3
CCReaderUsesKeyboardEmulation

Set to True if magnetic stripe reader provides input to computer in keyboard emulation mode
