Using Order Options and Sub-SKUs with Miva Merchant Store

Sequence of Operations

Follow the steps below to use Order Options (or Attributes) and Sub-SKUs in your Order Manager.

  1. Define product Order Options (or Attributes) in Miva Merchant shop.

  2. Setup Inventory Tracking in Miva Merchant.

  3. Set up Sub-SKUs-related System Parameters in Order Manager.

  4. Backup your data file before importing the Inventory and building Sub-SKUs in Order Manager.

  5. Import Parent SKUs into the Order Manager.

  6. Build Sub-SKUs in Order Manager.

  7. Work with Inventory items containing Attributes in Order Manager. Define quantities.

  8. Synchronize inventory with Miva Site.

Note: All Inventory items must be present and identical in both Miva Merchant and Order Manager.

  1. Start receiving orders to Order Manager from your Miva shop.

After you define the Product Options (or Attributes) and set up the inventory tracking in Miva Merchant, you can import your inventory. Your inventory will be imported with your defined Options into Order Manager and you will be able to create the appropriate Sub-SKUs. Once the Sub-SKUs are set up in the Order Manager, you can convert Parent SKUs with Order Options into Sub-SKUs, making it easier to process orders and track Inventory. Instead of one (1) product with Attributes (T-shirt of Green and Red Color), you can have several products (T-shirt of Red Color and T-shirt of Green Color) that have a unique quantity and other unique characteristics.

Proceed to Step 1: Define Product Attributes in Miva Merchant. See 1.1 About Product Options (Attributes).
