Overview

The purpose of this topic is to document any known issues that the customer should be aware of prior to installing Stone Edge

For more information about the look and feel changes of MS Access 2010, refer to the Microsoft web site. Be sure to review Microsoft's system requirements before installing the product. Our experience has shown that Microsoft Core XML Services 6.0 is also needed.

Pre-Installation Actions

Prior to installing Stone Edge on a workstation that has Access 2010 installed, the user must change some settings within Microsoft Access:

Setting Macro Security

  1. From the File menu, select Options:

  1. When the Access Options screen opens, click Trust Center link in the left-hand pane.

  1. Then click Trust Center Settings in the right-hand pane.

 

  1. Select Macro Settings from the navigation pane on the left-hand side of the screen.

  1. Click Enable all macros radio button and then click OK at the bottom of the page to exit the Trust Center screen and save the new setting.

  2. Click OK again to exit the Access Options screen (not pictured).

  3. It is now acceptable to install Stone Edge on this workstation.

Setting the Default Database Type

  1. From the File menu, select Options:

The Access Options screen opens:

 

  1. Select General from the navigation pane on the left-hand side of the screen.

  2. Change the setting of Default file format for Blank Database from Access 2007 (.accdb), to Access 2002-2003 (.mdb).

  3. Click OK to exit the Access Options screen and save the new setting.
