Custom Software Development
Stone Edge has been in the custom software business since 1983. Over the last
few years we have developed several programs to help build and manage Web-based
businesses. Today most of our custom programming work revolves around those
programs. Many of the custom capabilities that we create get added to future
releases of our programs, so that new features are constantly being added,
especially to the Stone Edge Order Manager.
Custom programming projects range
from:
- Very small. Examples:
- Customizing a report or
creating a totally custom report; typical cost $100 to $300
- Adding a simple feature to
the Order Manager; typical cost $300 to $500; cost of larger projects
may be split among several merchants
- Moderate size. Examples:
- Adding a more significant
new feature to the Order Manager; typical cost $500 to $1,000
- Adding support for a new
shopping cart system to the Order Manager; typical cost $1,000 to $2,000
- A custom version of the
Point of Sale system with special features for a membership-based
organization at a cost of $2,000 to $3,000
- Large projects. Examples:
- Support for a multiple-store
chain, including inventory transfers and a Web-based, real-time
inventory tracking system plus numerous other features for over $10,000
- Custom integration with a
large SQL Server based ERP system, including custom features to assign
carriers to wireless modems, track commissions, etc.; over $30,000
