   Online Stores, Inc. began as a small scale flag retailer in 2002 and has since become a top online retailer of flags and tea. We implemented the Stone Edge Order Manager in 2004 as a means of inventory control, and in 2006 we began using it for order processing and purchase orders. Our sales increased from $13 million in 2006 to more than $18 million in 2007. Stone Edge aided in the 40% sales increase by improving the productivity of our employees, who previously had to do everything manually.

Stone Edge keeps track of more than 13,000 products and 100,000 SKUs/sub-SKUs for all six of our stores in one database, while also allowing us to view orders and inventory by store. It tells us when items are about to go out of stock and which items are selling most/least. This information is very helpful in keeping us organized and reordering stock. Because all of our data is stored in a central database, we can easily create customized reports to find inventory levels, sales figures, backorder lists and hundreds of other reports. With such easily accessible information, employees have become more productive. Shipping times and backordered items are significantly reduced. Faster shipping and fewer backorders have increased customer satisfaction. Now returning customers account for over 50% of our sales.

When our Yahoo websites went down unexpectedly in 2007, it became necessary for our customer service department to learn to place orders using Stone Edge. The department caught on quickly and was able to save hundreds of orders that would have otherwise been lost. Most representatives found Stone Edge to be easier and faster than the online ordering system. Stone Edge stores the customers’ addresses, billing information and order patterns, which saves them time in placing orders for returning customers. Along with our accounting and wholesale departments, customer service now places all orders using the Stone Edge Order Manager.

Stone Edge’s software is reasonably priced and worth every penny. It not only helps to increase our sales, but it also keeps us organized and efficient.
