The Stone Edge Order Manager works with many popular credit card payment gateways to make managing payments fast and easy.

The Order Manager is compatible with the most popular payment gateways for processing payments. If you use any of the supported gateways, you can configure the Order Manager to work with your existing account(s). If you have multiple Web stores, the program can use the same or different accounts for each of them. There are three ways to handle credit card processing for Web orders:

  • Complete your credit card sales in your shopping cart(s). Use the Order Manager to issue credits and refunds, and for future charges for the same customer.
  • Or get a pre-authorization in your shopping cart(s). Use the Order Manager to capture the funds. Funds can be captured as orders are imported, or one order at a time, or in batch mode.
  • Or handle all credit card processing in the Order Manager. Transactions can be processed as orders are imported, or one order at a time, or in batch mode.

The Order Manager can also handle credit card payments for manual orders (those that come in via phone, fax, mail, etc.), and the Point of Sale system* can work with a credit card scanner for card-present transactions.

Coming in 2010: Stone Edge Technologies is working with credit card gateways and shopping cart providers to eliminate the need to store credit card account numbers. Account numbers will only be used to get the initial approval for each transaction. From that point on, “tokens” issued by the gateway will be used to void transactions, issue credits and process future charges. That will make PCI compliance much easier to achieve.
