Stone Edge Product Knowledge Base
Use the buttons on the tool bar to locate information stored in the Knowledge Base or to print or email the article:

Contents - Click this button to display the Table of Contents of the Knowledge Base. Then click on a book of interest to see the list of articles (topics) about that subject. Select an article in the left pane and the content of the article will be displayed in the right pane. This icon is selected by default when the Knowledge Base is initially opened.
Choose a book with an appropriate topic name, such as Payment Processing or Specific Shopping Carts.
Choose a book that references a location in the program, such as Maintenance Menu or Store Setup Wizard.
Search - Click this button to display a search field box in the left pane. Enter a keyword or phrase and click on the Go button to display a list of results. The Knowledge Base is configured to perform a "full text search" that will result in a list of articles that have complete or partial string matches. If the Highlight search results box is checked, strings that matched the search criteria will be highlighted in yellow when an article is displayed. Previously, this type of search produced a very long list of Knowledge Base pages as matches, including pages that are not intended to stand alone, but were "hot spots" intended to provide further explanation of a field in another "parent" article. Most of those pages have now been excluded from search results, but can still be viewed from the parent article and possibly the Index. It is also now possible to put a string in quotes, such as "shipping label" to limit the number of hits that are returned. Search "keywords" are also being added to the articles to improve search results, and it is now possible to perform Boolean searches, using AND/OR operators. Alternatively, enter your search criteria in the box to the far right of the tool bar and press [Enter] or [Go].
Index - Click this button to display the list of index keywords used in the Knowledge Base. Enter a keyword or part of a keyword in the Type in the keyword to find: text box to skip to that location in the list. Then click on one of the words in the list in the left pane to display the related topic in the right pane. If more than one article uses the same keyword, both articles will be displayed in a drop-down list. Click on the article to be viewed. The word that was entered as search criteria will not be automatically highlighted as it would when using the Knowledge Base's search facility. Use the Windows Find (CTRL+F) feature to locate occurrences of the word in the article instead.

Glossary - This button produces a list of glossary terms. Click on a term in the list and see its meaning in the Definition: list below the Term: list box.
Print Current Article - the article currently being viewed is sent to the workstation's default printer.
Email Current Article - Email a link to the article currently being viewed.
Company Logo - click on the logo to view the company Web site. Click one of the tool bar buttons and make a selection from the navigation pane (left-hand side of screen) to return to the Knowledge Base.
The Knowledge Base articles are being updated in an on-going fashion, but the user may find articles that are out of date. In some cases, there may be a newer document for the topic that can be found in the 5.9 Updates book. In other cases, older articles may have been left in the Knowledge Base as a courtesy to users of legacy versions of the Order Manager. Version 6 material is also being incorporated into the knowledge base at this time. It will be indicated as such within the text of the affected articles, and can also be found under "V6" in the Index. A new Knowledge Base is being created for version 6 later this year that will only contain current information, however, the present Knowledge Base will still be available for reference.
Another source of information is the Order Manager User Guide which is available on the download gateway. Work is underway on the user guide for version 6.0, which is expected to be available for beta testing this summer.
