Background
When running Order Manager for the first time during a new installation, the user is given the option of creating a new data file or selecting an existing one. While selecting an existing data file to open, the following dialog box is displayed:
Cause
The program file (e.g. SEOrdMan.mdb) is selected instead of the Order Manager data file.
Solution
Click Cancel and dismiss any remaining error messages. Restart the Order Manager. When browsing for an existing data file, select your data file (e.g., MyStore.mdb) and NOT the program file.
To avoid confusion in the future, if you are using Order Manager in a networked environment and need to have Order Manager installed on your file server, do not share the data file from the program’s installation directory (usually C:\StoneEdge). Instead, create a new directory to hold your data file, email templates and custom reports according to the instructions in Installing Order Manager on a Network.
