Moving the Order Manager Data File to Another File Server

For whatever reason, i.e. you get a new file server, you may need to move the Order Manager data file to a computer on your local network that is different from the computer on which it currently resides.

 

Install the Order Manager and connect the new file server to your local network before moving the data file.

 

Move the Data File

 

  1. Open the c:\StoneEdge directory on the old file server.

  2. Copy the data file (e.g. MyStore.mdb), Custom Reports.mdb, the EmailTemplates folder and any other custom components to the c:\StoneEdge directory on the new file server.

  3. Rename the data file on the old file server.

  4. Go to each workstation on which you run the Order Manager and open the program so that it connects to the new data file.
