This article pertains to the Order Manager version 5.803 and lower.
The Email tab in the Store Setup Wizard is where you specify a method for sending email and provide the necessary server information. You can also test your email settings from this tab and view, add, or edit the Order Manager's email templates.

1. Go to the Email tab.
2. Click on an email method in the Select a method for sending email list.
Direct via SMTP Server is the only method that allows bulk email and HTML-formatted email.
Choose Default Mail Software if you use an email program other than MS Outlook (e.g. Eudora or Outlook Express).
1. Direct via SMTP Server:
Under Set Settings for which server?, complete the required information for the Normal server.
Click Alternate to enter the settings for a second server in case your Normal server is unavailable.
Note: The Order Manager does not currently support email servers that use SSL or any other type of encryption.
1. Click the Test Email Settings button to send yourself a test email. If the test does not work properly, review your settings and try again.
1. Click the Automatically send emails after importing tracking numbers checkbox if you want to send tracking information via bulk email to customers.
2. Select an email template from the E-Mail Template to use for bulk emailing tracking numbers drop down list.
3. Click on the View/Add/Edit Email Templates button to see what the email will look like.
