Setting Up an eBay Seller's Assistant Pro (SAP) Shopping Cart

Note: eBay has retired Seller's Assistant Pro and replaced it with Blackthorne for auction management. With the release of the Order Manager 5.8xx Beta series version, Stone Edge has discontinued support for Seller's Assistant Pro. However, existing instances can be used with the Stone Edge Order Manager, Versions 5.612 and earlier.

If you plan to use Seller's Assistant Pro (SAP) to import your orders from eBay, you must install SAP before you can setup your eBay shopping cart in the Order Manager.

SAP should be installed in a shared folder where each computer running the Order Manager can access it. Consequently, you only have to install SAP once. The first time you perform any eBay-related functions on any of your workstations, the Order Manager will search for the SAP installation. The program will search for it, or you can set the SAPImportLoc system parameter in the  eBay group to the path of the SAP database, e.g. c:\Program Files\eBay\Seller's Assistant Pro.

If you are an Order Status System subscriber, you must install it before you can setup your eBay shopping cart in the Order Manager.

  1. Click the drop down boxes to select the appropriate values.

The Order Manager imports and exports your eBay orders based on each one's status:

Status to Import:

To track the status of an order through the fulfillment process, SAP uses Status IDs which are listed here. Set this to the status level at which an order should be in SAP for the Order Manager to import it. Recommended setting is "Payment Cleared." Directly corresponds to the ImportID system parameter in the eBay group.

When Order Status reaches this level:

In step 8 above, you loaded the default status events the Order Manager uses to track the status of your orders as you process them. These events are listed here.  Select the appropriate status in the Order Manager that indicates the order should be exported to SAP. Recommended setting is "Shipped" or something comparable. Directly corresponds to the ReachStatus system parameter in the eBay group.

Export to eBay at this level:

When performing a batch export to SAP, Order Manager updates the sales status in SAP to the value you select in this drop down list. This drop down list is populated by the Status IDs used in SAP. Recommended setting is "Complete – Paid."  Directly corresponds to the ExportID system parameter in the eBay group.

  1. Click Close.
