Setting Up eBay Blackthorne Pro Cart

Follow these directions if you are running the Order Manager versions 5.612 and lower. If you're running the Order Manager 5.8XX Beta series or higher see Setting Up a Blackthorne Cart (OM 5.8XX and higher).

To use Blackthorne Pro (BT) to import your orders from eBay, you must install the program on your workstation before you can setup your eBay shopping cart in the Order Manager. BT should be installed in a shared folder where each computer running the Order Manager can access it. Consequently, you only have to install it once. The first time you perform any eBay-related functions on any of your workstations, the Order Manager will search for the appropriate installation as directed by the system parameter EbayProgram (in the eBay group). This parameter must be set to Blackthorne (see instructions below).

Notes:

1) The Order Manager does not support Blackthorne Basic.

2) If you are an Order Status System subscriber, you must configure it before you can setup your eBay shopping cart in the Order Manager.

Set System Parameters

  1. Go to the Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Maintenance tab> Set System Parameters button or Quick Clicks> System Parameters. The Set System Parameters dialog box opens.

  2. Select the eBay group, and then select the EbayProgram parameter. In the box below Parameter Details, select Blackthorne and then click Save to save the new parameter setting.

  3. Next, select the SAPImportLoc parameter (the Parameter Details box only specifies Seller's Assistant Pro, however this parameter also controls Blackthorne). Click the Browse button and select the location of the data file used by the Blackthorne program (BTData.mdb). If you don't know the location, open Blackthorne and check the title bar in the application window.

  4. Click Close to exit the Set System Parameters dialog box.

  4. Select eBay from the Cart Type drop down list. Note: If you are licensed to use only one shopping cart type, you will not see a drop down list in the Cart Type field.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Go to Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Setup Functions> Store Setup Wizard> and click the Order Status tab.

  7. Make sure that the Use Status Updates check box is selected (checked).

  1. The Order Manager imports and exports your eBay orders based on each one's status. Click the drop down boxes to select the appropriate values.

    1. Status to Import:

To track the status of an order through the fulfillment process, SAP uses Status IDs which are listed here. Set this to the status level at which an order should be in SAP for the Order Manager to import it. Recommended setting is "Payment Cleared." Directly corresponds to the ImportID system parameter in the eBay group.

    1. When Order Status reaches this level:

When setting up your eBay shopping cart, you loaded the default status events (see step 8) the Order Manager uses to track the status of your orders as you process them. These events are listed here. Select the appropriate status in the Order Manager that indicates the order should be exported to SAP. Recommended setting is "Shipped" or something comparable. Directly corresponds to the ReachStatus system parameter in the eBay group.

    1. Export to eBay at this level:

When performing a batch export to SAP, Order Manager updates the sales status in SAP to the value you select in this drop down list. This drop down list is populated by the Status IDs used in SAP. Recommended setting is "Shipped". Directly corresponds to the ExportID system parameter in the eBay group.

  1. Click Close.
