Shipping Internationally with Dazzle

The Order Manager supports international shipping via the United States Postal Service using Endicia’s Dazzle program. Shipping internationally with Dazzle is possible from the Shipping & Tracking tab of the View Orders screen via the Print Shipping Label button or from the Dazzle Batch Screen.

Before beginning, you must set up the shipping methods you use in the Order Manager if you haven't done so already. Make sure that the Country of Origin field is completed on inventory records. Use  the two-letter country code, do not spell out the entire name of the country.

Note: For information about international shipping methods, customs declaration forms and more please go to Endicia.com or contact the United States Postal Service. For help printing international labels and customs forms in Dazzle, go to Endicia.com, click on Support and look at the International Mail category of the FAQ section. The Customs Information for International Shipments tab on the Print DAZzle Label dialog box duplicates Dazzle’s international shipping functionality.

Set Up Shipping Methods

  1. Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Shipping & Fulfillment tab>Shipping Setup button>Shippers & Methods button. The Shipping tab from the Store Setup Wizard opens.

  1. Under Shipping Methods, click the Add button to add additional shipping methods to the list as required. The Enter your name for this shipping method: dialog box opens.

  1. Enter the name of the shipping method exactly as it appears in your shopping cart program. Click OK.

  2. The Shipping Method Setup dialog box opens. Select the Shipper’s name for this method from the drop down list. The Carrier and Shipper’s Code fields are completed automatically.

Note: The program can be configured to export shipping information to a text file for import into other shipping software not supported by the Order Manager. This action occurs based on the shipping method assigned to the order in question. Enter the path and file name of the text file in the Shipping Export File field. In the Export Template field, select which shipping export template to use for this file. The template dictates the type of file created, .txt or .csv, which fields to export and the order in which the data is exported. If the Export Template field is blank, the Order Manager uses the default template. To create a shipping export template, go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Shipping & Fulfillment tab>Shipping Export Templates button.

  1. If you select a Shipper's name used by the United States Postal Service, you will see the following message box: This is a U.S.P.S. Shipping Method, will you process this shipping method through Dazzle?. Click Yes or No. If you click Yes, the program automatically enters Dazzle in the Shipping Export File (or 'Dazzle') field.

Note: If the Shipping Export File field is set to Dazzle then the program knows to process orders to which a USPS shipping method is assigned through the Dazzle interface instead of creating a text file (see Note in step 4). This applies to single orders and batches of orders. The Dazzle Layout field allows the user to select a label design created in Dazzle to use specifically with this particular shipping method. If this field is left blank, Dazzle uses the default label design.

Note: When using an international shipping method with Dazzle, the appropriate Dazzle Layout file must be selected in the shipping setup when you add or edit that method.  The customs forms are associated with the appropriate layout files and if the correct one is not specified, Dazzle will not allow the customs forms to be printed.

  1. Select a Default Approval Email Template from the drop down list. (This is the email that will be sent to the customer when their order is approved in the Order Manager.)

  2. Select a Default Set Ship Date Email Template from the drop down list. (This is the email that will be sent to the customer when their order's ship date is set in the Order Manager.)

  3. Click OK.

  4. Repeat these steps until each shipping method in your shopping cart program appears in the list.

Note: You can add up to 30 shipping methods.
