Setting Up ShipRush

ShipRush Version 8 is the only downloadable version presently available from Z-Firm's web site and it is supported by Order Manager V5.918.

ShipRush Versions 5.7 through Version 7 are presently supported by The Order Manager Version 5.9, although UPS has dropped support for ShipRush Version 5.

Support for Version 6 of ShipRush was added in Order Manager 5.609 and support for ShipRush Version 7 was added in Order Manager 5.900.

 

If you purchased your ShipRush license through Stone Edge Technologies, follow the instructions sent by email for downloading the software and installing the license code. Those instructions are summarized below. Review the section Setting ShipRush Parameters in the Order Manager to ensure that you have set all necessary parameters.

Downloading ShipRush and Installing the License Code

  1. Download and install ShipRush for whichever carriers you use. There are separate editions of ShipRush for UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS. A single subscription to ShipRush includes all four editions, although it is only necessary to install the one(s) for the carriers that will be used.

  1. Follow the instructions you received in the "ShipRush License Info" email, which includes a license code to enter into ShipRush and another license code to enter into the ShipRushID parameter text field within the Order Manager (additional information about setting this parameter is contained in the section below).

Setting ShipRush Parameters in the Order Manager

  1. In the Order Manager, go to Maintenance Menu> Set System Parameters (or Quick Clicks> System Parameters).

  2. If you have not done so already, set the following ShipRush parameters.

Follow the instructions you received via email to copy and paste the license code into the Parameter Text field, replacing the old license code. Click Save.

Select the version of ShipRush (V5, V6, V7, or V8), and then click Save.

Select ShipRush if you use ShipRush, and then click Save.

ShipRushUseScale

Packing

Set to True if you have ShipRush configured to use an electronic scale. Set to False if you do NOT use an electronic scale. Click Save.

 

Repeat the steps above for any other Order Manager stores (data files) that use ShipRush.
