Import Tracking Numbers via ODBC Connection

It is possible to import tracking numbers two ways: via a shipping application that uses an ODBC (open database connectivity) connection or manually (see Import Tracking Numbers from A Text File).

When you close a batch in WorldShip or ShipManager, the shipping program sends the tracking numbers to the Order Manager via an ODBC connection automatically.

You import data from Dazzle one of two ways: using the Dazzle button on the Shipping & Tracking tab of the View Orders form for individual orders or in batch mode using the Process Dazzle Batch button on the Shipping & Fulfillment tab of the Maintenance Menu. When you click one of these two buttons, Dazzle exports the tracking data to the Order Manager which imports it automatically.

Note: To complete the process (i.e., email tracking information to customers and/or send tracking information to the Order Status System), go to the Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Shipping & Fulfillment tab> Process Tracking Numbers button.
