How to Change Tracking Links

Tracking Link URL's

From time to time Shipping Carriers change their links to their tracking web pages. This will have an effect on the Track Package button on the View Orders screen and tracking links sent by email. It will have to be manually updated within the Stone Edge Order Manager in two locations.

System Parameters to be changed:

How to Update

  1. Change System Parameters: Locate the parameter Tracking***Prefix (*** = Carrier in question) in the Shipping parameter group. Change it to the appropriate text from above. Click the Save button.

  2. Change Shippers & Shipping Methods:

    1. Version 5.612 and lower: Go to the Maintenance Menu > Shipping & Fulfillment tab > Shipping Setup link > Shippers and Methods button.

Version 5.9 and above: Go to the Maintenance Menu>Shipping & Fulfillment tab> Shipping Setup link, which will open the Store Setup Wizard, Shipping, section. Go to the second page of that section and click the Shippers & their Shipping Methods button.  

    1. Select the appropriate Carrier.

    2. Change the "Track Button Prefix" to the appropriate Prefix text from above.

    3. Change the "Track Button Suffix" to blank; delete anything that's there.

    4. Click the Save New Settings button.
