You can export customer data to a text file and send bulk email to customers from the Customer Export Setup dialog box. Go to Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Import/Export tab> Export Customer Data & Bulk Email to Customers.

In order for you to export customer data to a text file, you must select which customer records you wish to export, define the set of fields containing the data you wish to export, and finally, specify the type of text file to create, i.e. either a comma-delimited (.csv) or tab-delimited (.txt) text file.
To exit the Customer Export Setup dialog box, click Cancel.
Select Customer Records to Export
Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Import/Export tab>Export Customer Data and Bulk Email to Customers button.
The Customer Export Setup dialog box opens:
Click Begin Export to export all customers OR
Select the customer records you wish to export.
In the top section of the form, you have numerous options for filtering your customer records. Filter by:
Ranges of order numbers, web order numbers, order dates, or customer ids.
Payment status. Select Any Status, Credit Due, Balance Due, or Paid in Full.
Customers where their most recent order was on or before or after a given date.
Address. Enter a City, State, Zip, or Country.
You can further limit your list of customer records on the Items Purchased tab.
Include customers who have bought a single SKU, multiple SKUs or ranges of SKUs.
In the Orders that include the following items section, you can click the All SKUs checkbox or you can enter characters in the SKU’s that start with text field.
You can also click the Any SKU in list below checkbox and then build a list of SKUs using the options in the Select items here to build the list section.
To display your products sorted by SKU:
Click the SKU radio button plus the All button to see all SKUs in alphanumeric order.
Click SKU plus the # button to see SKUs that begin with a symbol followed by SKUs that begin with a number in alphanumeric order.
Click SKU plus a letter button to see SKUs that begin with that letter in alphanumeric order.
To display your products sorted by product name:
Click the Name radio button plus All to see all product names in alphanumeric order.
Click Name plus # to see product names that begin with a symbol followed by product names that begin with a number in alphanumeric order.
Click Name plus a letter button to see product names that begin with that letter in alphanumeric order.
Click on an item once and click Add to List.
The item appears in the Any of the following list of items list box to the right.
Delete an item from the list by clicking on it and clicking the Delete button.
Specify any custom fields that contain data you wish to export on the Custom Fields tab. (If you have not set up any custom fields, the Custom Fields tab will not be visible. See Configuring Custom Fields document to learn how to add custom fields.)
To filter customers based on range of order frequency and/or value of orders within a selected date range, go to the Frequency & Value tab. (For more information about RFM [Recency, Frequency, Monetary Value] data and how to view RFM data about a specific customer, see the RFM Data & Order History section of the View Customers document.)
Click Begin Export.
Export Data to Text File
Indicate the file type you wish to create - comma delimited (.csv) or tab delimited (.txt).
Indicate whether or not to include field names in the first row of the text file.
Check or uncheck any fields that you wish to include or exclude from your export.
Click Export.
Specify a name and location for the text file.
To send bulk email to your customers, build your list of customers following the steps outlined above.
ShopSite users: There is an option in your shopping cart that allows your customers to opt-in to your email list at check-out. If you click the Add to Email List checkbox located under the Cancel button in the top right corner of the Customer Export Setup form in the Order Manager, the list to which your bulk email is sent is limited to those customers who opted-in when checking out.
Click Begin Export.
Select an Email Template.
Use the options to Edit Template to enter a note in the body of the email, Preview Email to see what the email will look like to your customers, and Select SMTP Account to specify how the email will be sent, if necessary.
Click Send Mail.
A message box opens confirming the number of messages sent and the number of bad or missing email addresses.
Note: Any customer record with Do not mail to this customer checked on the View Customers screen is excluded from the bulk email.
