Example:
Metro Auto Parts sells parts for Mustangs and other classic cars.
They want to organize their site by "Catalog" (e.g. Classic Mustang or Late
Model Mustang), then by category and sub-category. They want to fit a lot of
information in tables on category and sub-category pages. They want total
control over the look and feel of their site. They need an easy way to import
new catalogs with large numbers of parts into the site. And they want to
automate the process as much as possible.

Solution:
The Stone Edge ECom Assembler, again using HTML page templates with custom tags
where data should be inserted. Tags are used to define different styles of
tables for different pages, from the list of catalogs on the home page, to the
lists of individual parts on the Parts List pages.
Now with a single button-click,
Metro Auto Parts can generate:
-
A
home page, with links for each catalog
-
Category pages and Sub-category pages, each
listing all of the categories in one catalog or the sub-categories in one
category
-
Product List pages, listing the specific
parts in each sub-category in a compact table format on one or more
automatically generated pages
-
Product pages, with images and details about
specific parts
